3. VEHICLE RETURN
The vehicle must be returned at the location, date, and time stipulated in the contract and in the same condition in which it was delivered by the lessor, with all its documents, keys, tools, and accessories. Any alteration to the agreed return conditions may result in additional charges for the lessee. If the vehicle is considered excessively dirty, preventing proper inspection or requiring more than 30 minutes of cleaning, it will be considered a special cleaning, incurring a charge of €100.
The rental contract duration may not exceed 25 days under any circumstances.
In case of early termination of the contract by decision of the lessee, they will not be entitled to a refund for unused rental days.
There is a grace period of 59 minutes for the return of the vehicle after the agreed time, after which the lessee will pay an additional fee of €25 plus the full daily rate for the extra days. The final amount for this will depend on the time of vehicle return.
There will be no possibility of contract extension once the original contract end date and time have passed. If there are suspicions of vehicle misappropriation and the client does not provide reliable evidence of force majeure, Unione Motion may activate the non-return protocol, filing a report with the relevant authorities after 59 minutes from the contract end date. All costs associated with the non-return protocol will be charged to the client.
If the lessee wishes to extend the rental period, they must notify the lessor at least 24 hours before the contract end date and time. The vehicle must be inspected before the extension is granted. Unione Motion reserves the right to refuse the extension if any vehicle usage requirement is not met. One of the requirements may be providing a flight number and boarding pass in the client’s name. The client must sign a new contract for the extended period and immediately pay the new amount for the extended service. The lessor does not guarantee that such extension will be possible.
If the vehicle is not returned at the location, date, and time stipulated in the contract, Unione Motion will be entitled to charge for the additional days due to the delay, as well as a €25 penalty for the economic damage caused, plus any expenses related to the vehicle’s repatriation and/or recovery. It is expressly forbidden to return the vehicle at airport Departure terminals or at any location other than the original pick-up point or a location expressly authorized by Unione Motion.
Abandoning the vehicle outside the agreed location will entitle Unione Motion to charge €200 plus the costs associated with recovering the vehicle.
Failure to comply with this condition allows the lessor to activate the non-return protocol and recover the vehicle without prior notice or legal requirement.
The client authorizes Unione Motion to track the rented vehicle using a GPS geolocation system if necessary.
If the client needs to return the vehicle outside office hours, i.e., from 23:00 to 07:00 from Monday to Sunday, they may drop it off at AquaCar Parking on Ctra. de Torrellano al Aeropuerto, Km 1, 03320 Torrellano, Alicante, paying a fee of €25 at the time of vehicle drop-off. This service is only available for contracts with the Infinity rate.
4. RENTAL CHARGES AND PAYMENT METHODS
4.1 Rental charges
The lessee agrees that Unione Motion may, after the end of the vehicle rental, make charges without the express authorization of the lessee, using electronic payment systems or any other collection method, for the following items:
- Extra cleaning charges for expenses arising from an extra cleaning service due to the manifestly inappropriate condition of the vehicle at the time of return. Additionally, the vehicle will be considered in poor condition if there are stains on the upholstery, including those caused by salt, excessive sand, pet hair, tobacco smell, or other substances, with a maximum surcharge of €100.
- Charges incurred for the loss of documents and vehicle keys, and/or sending the vehicle’s set of keys to the corresponding office in cases of loss, breakage, water damage, returning the vehicle keys to a different office from the actual vehicle return office, or any other situation that immobilizes the vehicle due to reasons attributable to the lessee. See charges in the damage table available on our website.
- The cost of towing the vehicle when necessary, except for mechanical failures not caused by negligence or improper use of the vehicle by the lessee.
- All costs resulting from loss, damage, or deterioration of rims, bodywork and paint, trim, tires (including punctures and blowouts), tools, windows and glass, mirrors, clutch, accessories, vehicle interior, as well as issues caused by refueling with the wrong fuel type. - The full repair costs for vehicle damage in the event of an accident when any of the following circumstances occur:
- The vehicle was not used in accordance with the established conditions.
- Any breakdown or accident caused by the lessee’s negligence will be the responsibility of the lessee, covering all associated costs from vehicle collection (towing service) to repair, as well as vehicle downtime days.
- The accident report – whether in the form of an ‘Amicable Accident Report‘ – DAA – or an ‘Incident Report‘ was not completed and sent to Unione Motion within the specified period, or does not accurately reflect the actual events.
- Damage resulting from an accident due to the lessee failing to correctly assess the vehicle’s height, including roof and sides.
- The corresponding additional coverage was not contracted (see point 5.3).
- The vehicle was driven by a person not expressly authorized in the contract.
In the event of total loss of the vehicle or damage exceeding 25% of the vehicle’s value according to the current AEAT tables, the assessment will be carried out by an external expert appraisal firm independent from Unione Motion.
All of the above applies without prejudice to a later settlement and adjustment, once a repair estimate is obtained from a workshop or an appraisal is carried out by an expert firm independent from Unione Motion. The lessee has the right to know and verify, personally or through a designated person, the repair of the vehicle, as well as the duration of such repair.
Unione Motion also reserves the right to charge the lessee compensation for loss of profit due to the immobilization of the vehicle as a result of the damage suffered (downtime). This compensation will be calculated based on the number of days required to repair the vehicle, established by an external appraiser or, once the repair has been carried out, calculating one day for every eight hours of work performed by the repair shop, using the daily rental rate contracted as the basis for quantification.
4.2 Payment Method
As an exception, payment by debit card will only be accepted for rentals contracted under the Infinity rate or Super Cover coverage, excluding our premium models (groups CP, GP, SP, FX, and HX), for which a credit card is required in any case.
American Express is not accepted. Cash payments or payments via smartphone are not accepted.
Payment for vehicle rental and additional items will be made in the currency chosen by the lessee, with multi-currency transactions accepted, subject to the conditions of the financial institution managing the payment or collection, as chosen by the client.
5. INSURANCE AND COVERAGES
For insurance purposes, the spouse, ascendants, descendants, siblings, or relatives of the lessee or authorized drivers, as well as their partners or individuals with commercial, labor, or dependent relationships with them, are not considered third parties.
5.1 Accident Coverage:
Express exclusions of accident coverage:
- Damages to the vehicle caused by an accident where the lessee is not at fault are not covered if the lessee does not submit a properly completed accident report or any information identifying the responsible party within forty-eight hours of the accident.
- Damages caused by weather conditions (water, snow, hail, wind, etc.) are not covered.
- Damages to the vehicle are not covered if the vehicle is not used in accordance with the conditions stated in the first clause regarding its use.
- Damages to the vehicle are not covered if the return date has expired without the lessee signing the service extension.
- Damage, loss, or theft of the lessee’s personal belongings inside the vehicle are not covered.
- Damage, repairs, or replacement of rims and/or tires due to punctures or impacts requiring such replacement are not covered.

- Damage to windows and windshields, side mirrors, engine, and clutch are not covered.
- Roadside assistance expenses due to accidents are not covered.
- Expenses caused by refueling with the wrong fuel are not covered.
- Expenses resulting from loss or breakage of the vehicle key are not covered. The replacement or shipping of duplicate keys is also not covered.
- In the event of vehicle immobilization for any reason, on-site replacement of the vehicle is not covered. The lessee must travel at their own expense to the original office.

- Theft or fire of the vehicle is not covered under any circumstances, regardless of the cause or coverage contracted.
- Loss, theft, or damage to the key is not covered under any circumstances.
- Personal belongings inside the vehicle are not covered under any circumstances.
5.3 Insurance Supplement and Deductible Waiver:
This coverage can be acquired after the start of the contract, following a prior evaluation of the vehicle by accredited personnel.
It must be demonstrated on-site that the vehicle is in exactly the same condition as at the time of signing the initial contract.
If the payment for any additional coverage is not specified in the contract, it will be understood that it has not been contracted, and the lessee expressly assumes full responsibility for damages excluded in these general conditions.
Once this coverage has been contracted, it cannot be canceled in advance, and no refunds will be applied for this concept.
6. ACCIDENTS
The lessee shall not prejudge or acknowledge responsibility for the incident, will collect all possible data, and notify the authorities if there is fault on the part of the other party.
The lessee will not abandon the vehicle in public areas, always taking the appropriate measures to protect it.
In case of an accident, regardless of who caused the accident, and unless the Super Cover coverage has been contracted or the Infinity rate has been selected, the lessor will charge the lessee an administrative accident management fee of €45.
7. REPAIRS
In case of mechanical breakdown, the Unione Motion offices have the assistance phone numbers for each vehicle brand, which the lessee must contact if they are unable to drive the vehicle to a nearby official workshop of the brand or to a workshop designated by Unione Motion for diagnosis, or to the nearest Unione Motion office.
If the vehicle requires repairs, the lessee must inform Unione Motion before taking any action, providing details of the breakdown and its cost so that Unione Motion can authorize the repair in writing or decide to carry out the repair at a designated workshop.
The costs of authorized repairs or fluid replacements paid by the lessee will be reimbursed by the lessor, except for punctures, upon presentation of the corresponding receipts, unless the breakdown was caused by negligence or misuse of the vehicle by the lessee. In such cases, the lessee will be responsible for these expenses as well as the costs of travel, towing, and vehicle downtime, or if the repair was not authorized by the lessor.
8. FUEL AND EXCESS MILEAGE
It is the lessee’s responsibility to refuel the vehicle with the appropriate type of fuel and additive, and the cost will always be borne by the lessee. Any expense or repair resulting from the use of incorrect fuel will be charged to the lessee.
The vehicle must be returned with at least the amount of fuel indicated in the “expected return” section. If not, the lessee must pay for the missing fuel at the current price at the time, as well as a €20 refueling service fee. This service fee does not apply to Super Cover and Infinity Rate.
The lessor offers a “Same-Same” fuel policy, which the lessee expressly accepts and is aware of in advance, based on the selected rate.
Unione Motion is a vehicle rental company exclusively for holiday use. Clients showing signs of commercial use, such as corporate email, corporate phone number, indicating commercial intent, etc., who use the vehicle for commercial purposes and/or excessively exploit unlimited mileage, cause accidents, or make intensive use of the vehicle will be in breach of the contract. Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse rental and reject future rental services.
9. EXTRA CHARGES
The settlement or final total rental amount is subject to the vehicle being returned in the same condition as it was delivered and at the agreed date, time, and place. Therefore, once the vehicle is returned, the lessee must pay the lessor any additional charges incurred due to the lessee, based on these general conditions.
10. THEFT, DAMAGE, AND LOSS OF PERSONAL ITEMS
Under no circumstances will Unione Motion be responsible for stolen, damaged, forgotten, or lost items inside the vehicle.
11. CHILD RESTRAINT DEVICES
